It's easy to get swept up in the bustle of this season.
The obligations.
The expectations.
The noise.
The caffeine and sugar!
Try this...
Pick one moment.
It can be any moment you choose.
But be still in that moment. That breath.
Let yourself watch everything that is happening around you as if it's an old home movie being played before your eyes.
See it.
Hear it.
Smell it.
Feel it.
Taste it.
And take an invisible picture of it.
Then re-enter the Griswaldian existence that surrounds you.
Because that little moment you witness is passing into the "shadows of the things that have been".
And our present moment is a breath away from becoming a ghost of the past.
No matter what you celebrate this season, experience it with every sense you have.
Actually do it now.
Look up. And take in everything that surrounds you.
Experience it.
It all goes by so quickly.
Doesn't it?
Oh man. It's so easy not to experience everything because we are looking for the next thing that is supposed to come. It really does go by quickly.

Inspired! :) I might have to write something about this.very.moment. I think I'll experience it, with every sense I have. :)

This so makes me think of The Wheel of Time series!! Epic writing by Robert Jordan and now Brandon Sanderson. Thanks! 'As the wheel turns...'
